REST ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE FROM YAHWAH ELOHEEM

“And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” (Exodus 33:14)

“Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which YAHWAH your God giveth you.” (Deuteronomy 12:8-9)

“My flesh also shall rest in hope.” (Psalm 16:9)

“Rest in YAHWAH, and wait patiently for him.” (Psalm 37:7)

“Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for YAHWAH hath dealt bountifully with thee.” (Psalm 116:7)

“This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.” (Isaiah 28:12)

“In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15)

“And my people shall dwell in quiet resting places.” (Isaiah 32:18)

“Thus saith YAHWAH, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” (Jeremiah 6:16)

“My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.” (Jeremiah 50:6)

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest (Deuteronomy 12:9), but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said (Psalm 95:11), As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works (Genesis 2:2-3). And in this place (Isaiah 28:12) again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, Today after so long a time; as it is said, ‘Today if ye will hear his voice harden not your hearts’ (Psalm 95:7). For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” (Hebrews 3:18-19; 4:1-11)

“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Revelation 14:13)
