Does the Earth Rotate?
Seems that everyone believes this, but is it true? Start by doing the math. The circumference of the earth at the Equator is 24,901 miles. The earth rotates this distance in 24 hours. Therefore, at the Equator the Earth rotates 24,901 miles in 24 hours, which is a speed of 1,038 miles per hour (24,901÷24). At the absolute center of the earth, the center of its axis, the speed would be 0 miles per hour. This axis extends all the way through the earth, and terminates at its surface, the North and South Poles. Therefore, there would be a speed of 0 mph at these surface points. The Latitude at the Equator is 0 ° and 90 ° at Poles. Multiply 1,038 (mph at the Equator) by the cosine of your Latitude to find out the speed you would be moving on a rotating Earth.
Here is some logic for the thinker. Imagine everyone is on the same vehicle. Those at the front would be going very slowly while those at the rear would be going faster than the speed of sound, or vice versa. Where a person sits on the vehicle determines how fast they travel. Now how absurd would that statement be?
Here is something for the space enthusiasts. A satellite which is to be fixed above a point on the earth’s surface must travel at a definite speed in order to keep up with that position on a rotating earth. Since they claim the earth rotates from West to East, then not only must geostationary satellites travel in that direction, but also their speed will be dictated by the Latitude of the point on the earth’s surface that they are to remain fixed above. If this is true, can a satellite have an orbit with no speed? Would not this be the case for one over either of the Poles? Accordingly, no satellite could ever be put into an orbit above the Poles, or into a North to South, Pole to Pole orbit above their rotating earth. Is not this absurd also?
Here is something for the camera buff. Set the camera up to make a good picture of the moon and stars in the night sky at one of the Poles. Keep the same settings and make another one of the moon and stars in the night sky at the Equator. If the earth was rotating, then the picture taken at the Equator would be blurry, smeared, since there would be 1,038 mph difference in the movement of the platform, earth, upon which the camera sits. The truth is that irregardless of the 0 to supersonic speed differential, both photographs will have the same clarity. What say you about this?
Now here is something from the book of all truth. The Bible clearly states the facts. “And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher?
So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.” (Joshua 10:13) There is another scripture pertaining to the shadow cast by the sun on a sundial. “And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.” (2 Kings 20:9-11) In both of these passages it is the movement of the sun that is manipulated. There must be more truth in the statements “Sun rise” and “Sun set” than meets the eye. It is the Sun, and all heavenly bodies, that move around the earth. Day and night are not caused by a rotating earth.
Here is another tidbit for those who put no stock in the Bible. It was a common practice for the church to burn people at the stake for saying that the earth was round and not flat. Finally Columbus disproved this church heresy, which the whole world believed. The Bible in Isaiah 40:22 says that the earth is a “circle” which was written 2,000 years before Columbus. There is one last thing for the “flat earth” people. All of nature, from the atom to the universe, is constantly showing off its spheres. There is no flatness in the cosmos, not even in a tiny drop of rain. Also, did you know that the earth has been flipped, turned upside down? This too is spoken of in the Bible thousands of years ago in Isaiah 24:1. Is it any wonder that the Bible has been banned from the schools, and that pseudo-science, called science, continues to attack scripture? True science’s new discoveries continue to validate the truths of the Bible, which are never taught in any of the churches.
There is no spinning earth, but only the yarns spun used to cover up and hide the truth about “there is no rotating earth”.
Yes, the earth vibrates, oscillates, vertically around its center point. One complete oscillation takes one year, and this is the reason for earth’s 4 seasons. This frequency can be plotted or photographed in relation to the sun from a fixed position on the earth at the same exact time each day. It forms a vertical elongated figure “8”. The size of the top and bottom parts of the “8” will be determined by the Latitude from which the plot or photograph is made. “Analemmas” was the name given to this figure “8” pattern, and can be seen on many globes of the earth. The first photograph of the “Analemmas” was not even made until 1978-1979 by Dennis di Cicco. Oscillation is not rotation, and the “Analemmas” is not about the sun changing orbits either.
